Home Cost & Payback Calculator

2026 home defaults pre-filled — adjust for your home, spa spend is household

$8,700 total home upfront · $0.24/session · $4.16/mo home power · ~56 mo payback vs spa · +$590 saved over 5 years.

Methodology [edit]

Total upfront = unit + home install + electrical. Session power = cabin kW × 0.5h × $/kWh (1.8 / 2.4 / 3.2 kW by home size, plus preheat). Monthly home power = session cost × sessions/week × 4.33. Payback months = total ÷ (spa $/mo − monthly home power). 5-year savings = spa × 60 − total − home power × 60. Household spa default $159 ≈ two $79 memberships; solo homes set ~$79. Ranges: 1-person home $4,000–$9,000; 2-person $5,000–$12,000; 3-person $7,000–$15,000+; labor $500–$2,000; electrical $200–$800.[1]
